The Forest North staff (and former staff!) met last week to discuss "Elizabeth is Missing" by Emma Healey. We had a great discussion about aging, the elderly, family dynamics and dementia.
We also announced our February title, which will be "Luckiest Girl Alive" by Jessica Knoll. We're meeting at the end of the month to discuss that book!
"Luckiest Girl Alive" is the 29th selection of the Forest North staff book club. We've been meeting since 2011, and were founded by counselor Jill Peyton and myself. We'll see you at the end of the month!

Forest North Staff Book Club Picks "The Martian" for November 2015
"The Martian" marks our 27th title of the Forest North staff book club! Think of how we've grown as readers throughout all of these titles!
The FNE Staff Book Club started in 2011. We read a book each month, chosen by a vote, and meet a staff member's house to discuss it, and announce the next book. Our November title is "The Martian" by Andy Weir- have you seen the movie starring Matt Damon yet? I have, and it was awesome!
The Library is giving away a free paperback copy of "The Martian" for staff members. To enter the contest, leave a comment about why you love the FNE Staff Book Club- don't forget to put your name so I can enter you into the drawing! Winner will be drawn at random.

Forest North Staff Book Club Picks "Go Set A Watchman" for September 2015
Wow, readers! This month marks our staff book club's 25th choice. That's a lot of reading!
The FNE Staff Book Club started in 2011. We read a book each month, chosen by a vote, and meet a staff member's house to discuss it, and announce the next book. Our September title is Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee. This author is special to me because her other book, To Kill a Mockingbird, is one of my favorites, and I named my daughter Harper in honor of that book!

Forest North Faculty Book Club
Did you know teachers read too? It's true! Every month, I organize a book club for all the grown ups at Forest North. Everyone is invited. We each bring a snack to share, meet at someone's house, and talk about the book. We always keep lists of what books we are interested in reading, and vote for what to read next. It's so fun!
This year, which is our 3rd or 4th year doing it, we made a commitment to read more books faster! We've been meeting once a month. Check out these books we've read this since 2014 started!
Are you in a book club with a pal? Are you in a book club with Mrs. Fournier? What have you read lately that you'd recommend?
